چکیده

Hairy root culture is a promising approach to improve production of plant secondary metabolites. The genes, which are located in T-DNA root-inducing plasmid, regulate auxin sensitivity hairy roots. Therefore, this study was aimed the growth and rosmarinic acid Lavandula angustifolia Lateral branches roots were transferred ½ MS B5 liquid media. To assess sensitivity, indole-3-acetic (IAA) indole-3-butyric (IBA) with four different concentrations (0, 0.1, 0.5 1 mg/l) also applied. medium two-fold higher than medium. In addition, both auxins found significantly whereas non-transformed stopped growing presence auxins. highest dry weight obtained from supplemented IBA irrespective its concentration. As result, grown produced maximum amount (7.98 mg/g roots). This first report L. provides new insights into

Hairy roots are more sensitive to auxin than normal roots.

Responses to auxin of Lotus corniculatus root tips or protoplasts transformed by Agrobacterium rhizogenes strains 15834 and 8196 were compared to those of their normal counterparts. Three different types of experiments were performed, involving long-term, medium-term, or short-term responses to a synthetic auxin, 1-naphthaleneacetic acid. Root tip elongation, proton excretion by root tips, and ...

Establishment of Salvia officinalis L. hairy root cultures for the production of rosmarinic acid.

Shoots of Salvia officinalis, a medicinally important plant, were infected with Agrobacterium rhizogenes strains ATCC 15834 and A4 which led to the induction of hairy roots in 57% and 37% of the explants, respectively. Seven lines of hairy roots were established in WP liquid medium under light and dark conditions. The transformed nature of the root lines was confirmed by polymerase chain reacti...

Agrobacterium Rhizogenes-mediated Transformation of Peganum multisectum (Maxim) Bobrov and Harmine Production in Hairy Roots

Using Agrobacterium rhizogenes due to create hairy roots is a useful method to product secondary metabolites in many medicinal plants. The transgenic hairy roots were induced from Peganum multisectum (Maxim) Bobrov a medicinally important species, by infecting leaf and stem explant with wild type Agrobacterium rhizogenes strain ATTCC 15834, which led to the induction of hairy roots from 19% of ...
